Submission Guidelines
Who can submit?
Anyone! Whether you are an independent creator, part of a company, or submitting on behalf of a community project, you are welcome to contribute to Vocarchive.
What can be submitted?
- Voicebanks for any vocal synthesis platform (Vocaloid, Synthesizer V, UTAU, DeepVocal, etc.).
- Official demos of voicebanks.
- New releases, legacy voices, discontinued banks, and experimental projects.
Demo requirements
- Audio format: MP3, mono, 44.1 kHz, 128 kbps.
- Maximum length: 38 seconds.
- Maximum file size: 1 MB.
- The demo must use the voicebank’s official base language and base voice only.
- No heavy effects that alter the natural tone of the voice (e.g., extreme reverb, distortion, autotune).
Required information
- Voicebank name
- Engine / platform
- Gender (as presented by the voicebank)
- Base language
- Other supported languages (if applicable)
- Release date (or year if exact date is unknown)
- Status (active, discontinued, beta, etc.)
- Availability (free, paid, discontinued, etc.)
- Official image (if available)
- Official demo audio
Language policy
Each voicebank should be submitted under its base language — the language it was officially designed for. If the voicebank can sing in additional languages due to phoneme coverage or custom tuning, those languages should be listed separately.
Maika → Base language: Spanish. Other supported languages: English, Catalan, Portuguese, Italian.
Hatsune Miku V4X Japanese and Hatsune Miku V4X English → Submitted as separate entries.
Image guidelines
- Use an official image whenever possible.
- Recommended format: PNG or JPG.
- Recommended ratio: 1:1 (square) or 3:4 (portrait).
- Minimum resolution: 500×500 pixels.
- Avoid watermarks unless part of the official artwork.
Copyright, permissions, and creator control
By submitting, you confirm that:
- You have the right to share the provided demo and image.
- The demo is official or permitted by the voicebank’s creator.
- You understand Vocarchive is a catalog and archive, not a redistribution platform.
- Creators may request the removal or modification of their entries at any time, without needing to provide a reason.
Moderation and edits
All submissions are reviewed for accuracy, quality, and compliance with these guidelines. Vocarchive reserves the right to edit metadata, reject submissions, or request corrections if needed.
Why submit?
Vocarchive exists to give equal visibility to all voicebanks — commercial, indie, discontinued, or experimental. By submitting, you help preserve the history of vocal synthesis and make it easier for people to discover new voices.
